Run a Joomla website at home on your QNAP NAS

I run several Joomla sites and have a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device but I would never have thought about running a website on it. Sure, when I was looking I looked for one that would give you the functionality, but never for a Joomla site more just a static home page.

A trip to the Zoo with a photo or two

Yesterday we spent the day at the Zoo. We did this last year and for about the last year the only thing Oskar has spoken about is going back. All good fun.

We did horse riding, driving, circus rides, saw a few wild animals and generally what you'd expect.

Closing down dtowers to go freelance

dtowers was always just a three man band with the occasional contractor but the work is split in such a way now that it seems stupid to have it working out of Sweden, so it's going to get closed down.

It will happen as soon as we know for sure we can do it cheaply but in the meantime we will probably point the website here and put up a contact page for all who were involved.

Scammers from Nigeria now operating out of Sweden

You know those emails that occasionally get past your spam software where you've either just won the World Cup lottery or that there is a business opportunity waiting for you and you'll make thousands, if not millions, well, they're now operating out of Sweden.

Midsummer in Sweden: Not just about beer and BBQ

Even if it should be, it's not. This will be my third midsummer in Sweden so I've done a little digging and found some interesting reading on the subject.

Basically it's the biggest event of the year and is always held on the Friday either just before or just after the actual midsummer day, which coincidentally is today.

SAPortals opened up last week and while the tech guys are actively finishing the site I'm pointing you to it now - because I can and if you're interested in SAP this is going to be quite interesting.

Global Warming: I'm now convinced!

I'm beginning to think there may be something in this climate change thing after all. Four months ago it was very cold here and now it's quite warm.

   

Affiliate programs for Joomla

I've been playing with a few affiliate programmes as of late and have started to list the best ones, originally on my themes site but I've now decided to buy the domain name.
