My Football Club? Not likely and I'm not paying £35 to access a forum

The MyFootballClub project was a good idea, but it was always doomed to failure. Not failure in the sense of it going bust, but they were never going to make the Premier League and are most probably likely to only flirt with any real success and for real success read 'getting into the football league'.

Goodbye to .biz and hello to .se

I didn't know where to put this, under personal or tech, because it's really a bit of both, but probably more personal, as dugdale.biz was the first domain name I purchased (thanks Derek) and it's where it all started in terms of me playing on the web. Now it is resigned to a redirect, but I won't be letting it go, even if the .biz extension doesn't rank very well.

Got rid of the landline, now it's purely mobile and Skype

I'm not a big fan of mobile phones and resolved not to get another one when I moved to Sweden but I soon had to get one. World Cup final weekend: South Africa in for a shock?

I've had a few emails this week. Most have been reminding me of the opening match of the Rugby World Cup and most have been from South Africans.

While I didn't really fancy England to do well in this tournament they've certainly turned it around and must really fancy their chances after beating France last weekend.

Glad I'm not in South Africa this weekend

They love their Rugby in South Africa. Thinking about it, maybe love isn't a strong enough word; they are madly passionate about it and yesterday those passions would have been boiling over.

Bars would have been packed, they'd be a braai on every street and the celebrations would have been much fun and gone late into the night.
