I like blogs and the better blogs are written by people who are really passionate about the subject matter. Beer Sweden is a good blog because Darren, the guys who started it, clearly enjoys beer and you are not just getting some PR spin.

There is nothing wrong with a bit PR, but with a blog you tend to get an honest view from someone and when that someone knows what they are talking about, chances are if something isn´t up to scratch, it actually isn´t up to scratch and you will be told.

I´ve bought beer on the recommendation of Beer Sweden before and I´ve enjoyed it, so I have no complaints and I will also be ordering some of the beer they has just reviewed.

So, to the review and the reason I am posting this. You see, or you will, it isn´t a regular review; it´s a virtual beer tasting. Basically, Darren is starting a new section on his site dedicated to virtual reviews by video and the first beer he has picked is Pilsner Urquell.

Yeah, I didn´t know what beer it was until I saw the bottle either and while chances are quite high I´ve had one or two before, I can´t remember, so to refresh my memory, I´ll be ordering some for next weekend, when I will find an excuse to drink one or two.

I hope he continues with the virtual tastings and hope that in the future we get one of Tactical Nuclear Penguin, the new 32% beer and I hope we see the beginning, middle and end this time. Click here to visit Beer Sweden and check out the first virtual beer review.
