Going Google Apps Premier Edition

I´m a big fan of Google, always have been and guess, if it keeps getting better always will, but there was one thing that bugged me about GMail; you could never send from your own domain without the users client showing it was coming from your GMail account.

That isn´t so bad, it´s only an email, but it was the one thing stopping me using GMail for all my email, instead I kept using Thunderbird and my very own email address. I used GMail rarely and only for non important stuff, but for work, I would still use my desktop, only because when I sent mail, it was sent from me and not from Google.

Laptop is almost dead: iMac or PC next?

I've flirted with Apple before but always resisted and ended up with my trusted PC, but now I'm about to come to that bridge again and I have to make a decision.

Blekko: A search engine to worry Google?

First off, Blekko is nothing at the moment but a page on a domain with a photo and two links, but there appears to be a little buzz about the potential, if only because they've managed to raise so much money for something that is still in, what the guys at Blekko are calling, stealth stage.

FireBoard is dead, long live Kunena

I was a big fan of FireBoard when it first came out as it was a forum you could install in Joomla and it didn't require any bridges. However, I quickly became very disheartened, mostly because it really didn't move on or seize the potential. We now all know why, but at the time, it was hard to see a great extension not live up to it's potential.

The Pingdom subscription scam: Have you been caught out?

I signed up for the website monitoring service from Pingdom a couple of years ago, as there was a special offer to sign up and use it. I like special offers with online services and sign up to a lot.

Lacie: Good products but Lacie support is one of the worst

Before I start bitching and moaning about how shocking the support is with Lacie, I want to give you an example of how support tickets should be handled by a large company. It sort of ties in with how bad the Lacie support is also, which is a bonus.
