Another earthquake hits Northern Sweden
In 2008, we had an earthquake that measured 2.46 on the Richter magnitude scale and the one we just had, I'd say, was about the same.
I say 'just had', because it happened about 10 minutes ago. I couldn't post as I was watching the World Cup match between Brazil and North Korea and that was more interesting.
It was a little familiar and as soon as I felt the floor shaking I knew what it was - so tomorrow I'll check to make sure nothing has fallen off the house and I'll go looking to find out how big it was but like I wrote above, it was very similar to last time, but will be interesting nonetheless.
Just thought I'd post - earthquakes don't happen every day, in fact about ten times a year in Sweden. We must be lucky to have two in two years!
I'll update this page with information on the epicentre and scale of the earthquake.
