Just visited a Google employee blog and read in the comments that there was a countdown on the homepage, if you click on the I'm feeling Lucky tab without entering a search query. So I had to have a look but it doesn't work at Google Sweden only Google UK or from what I can see, English speaking Google sites.

So, I click it and this is what I've got .

When you convert the 1243594 seconds into days you get 14.3934491 days. Adding that to the time now, it will be about New Years Eve and I suspect there will be something worth looking at on Google UK or that maybe something is changing.

Surely, it can't just be a Happy New Year message - something else is happening. Have Google finally purchased Twitter (this is a wild guess and probably not, but you just never know)?
