No coincidence: Wi-Fi turned off and headache gone
Up until we moved into our new house I'd never used Wi-Fi at home and only ever hooked up when needed to, when not at home. I've never had it at home because it was never needed but with the new house it was.
I was quite happy with it to begin with because I could pretty much work from anywhere I wanted and it also meant I could have 5 Live in bed, something I'd missed since not living in the UK.
The thing was I started to notice I was feeling sick and was getting more and more headaches. While I did think it could have been because of the wireless network I dismissed it and moved on.
Then I heard about the Panorama programme, heard something on the radio about the risks, heard about someone in the UK getting testicular cancer and then passing away and then finding out that it's not recommended to put the laptop on your lap when using Wi-Fi.
Then I read something the other day that WiFi was making Kate Figes sick and she's come in for a lot of stick because of it, most people saying it's impossible or she's stupid.
Well, I've turned my Wi-Fi off and I don't get any more headaches. To top it all off, if I turn it on, which I have to do for another two days if I want to print something, I'll get a headache within a minute or two and feel quite nauseous.
It's no coincidence and I'm blaming Wi-Fi. I've now got cable for my internet and I'll be getting a printer cable so there will be no need to have any Wi-Fi receivers turned on or Wi-Fi signals coming out of anything.
